These shoes are so beautiful, well-built, and comfortable! Usually I don't like the “gladiator” look, with tons of buckles and straps and hardware. This model comes close to that style but without crossing the line; it is soft and elegant and not threatening. The ALDO Hilado Women Platform Sandal is available in Ice (shown) and in Black.

UNFORTUNATELY this beautiful shoe sold out in December 2010 and never came back. But it is still one of the most-viewed shoes in my gallery. In 2011 Aldo came out with a similar shoe, lacking only the “hardware”, the ALDO Marum, available in black and in camel. Like the Hilado, it is made from real leather, not plastic.
