HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  It is that time again for us to come together and share our experiences and our trials.  We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the 15th Annual Regional Conference of Parades & Festivals.

For the past 14 years, the purpose of this annual conference has been to gather key representatives responsible for Puerto Rican parades, festivals and other key events throughout the mainland and provide them with an informative venue to best address their individual needs.  The event has served as a vehicle to promote public awareness of the Puerto Rican/Hispanic culture, history, and traditions; and to educate the public through programs, activities, workshops and social events.

The co-founders and conference coordinators, Mr. Juan J. Gonzalez, Esq. and Ms. Beatrice M. Caraballo, are looking forward to once again provide the most comprehensive information to all the conference participants.

As discussed and based on the selection process at the end of last year’s conference, Yonkers, New York was selected as the conference site for 2012; and Ms. Miriam Aponte, President of the Yonkers Puerto Rican/Hispanic Parade and Festival has accepted to head the host committee for the 15th Annual Regional Conference of Puerto Rican Parades and Festivals.

It was also agreed the best date for the conference would be Saturday, February 11, 2012; and after a site visit in Yonkers, we have now confirmed the conference location to be the Royal Regency Hotel, 165 Tuckahoe Road, Yonkers, New York 10710.  The conference is tentatively scheduled to begin with registration and breakfast at 9:00 a.m., followed by a preliminary agenda to include an interactive workshop, luncheon time, guest speaker and live cultural entertainment;  then followed by a second interactive workshop.  The conference will then conclude with an open discuss session followed by the wrap-up/farewell reception.

In addition to securing the meeting space at Royal Regency Hotel, the hotel management has also offered to block 20 rooms for our conference participants to have overnight accommodations with a special rate of $99 per night.  However, each conference participant will be responsible for making individual arrangements by calling the hotel directly at (914) 476-6200 and provide the following code:  P R P F”                DON'T DELAY IN MAKING YOUR RESERVATIONS TODAY!
